New models of teaching and learning enable a personalized, student-centric experience - and deliver improved retention, engagement, satisfaction, and results for learners of all ages - in schools, campuses, and companies.

D2L is disrupting the way the world learns, by providing the next generation learning environment and solutions to engage and inspire learners. And most importantly, by giving customers a platform that is easy, flexible, and smart. No other company provides a solution as robust and innovative as D2L.

D2L has had a singular mission for 20 years and is dedicated to that same mission in the years ahead: to transform the way the world learns - and by doing so, we will help improve human potential globally.

**General Description**:
As an Implementation Specialist, you will work directly with customers in all markets (K-12, Higher Education, Corporate) as they prepare to launch with, or expand their usage of, D2L's Brightspace. Being the client's primary technical point of contact, you will assist with scoping, designing, and delivering solutions that meet each client's unique requirements. Projects often include the one-time migration of data into Brightspace, and integrating Brightspace with critical systems such as Authentication Systems or Student Information Systems.

This is a project-oriented role and most of the tasks completed in this role would be considered billable.

**Major Responsibilities (How Will I Make an Impact?)**:
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience by providing technical expertise, hands-on configuration, testing, and ongoing customer guidance for projects such as:

- Authentication System integrations
- Student Registration/Information System integrations
- Course Migration
- Other projects as required
- Interact with customer and project teams to provide a cohesive customer experience:

- Provide input on project plans
- Provide status updates to Project Managers
- Provide Implementation Consultants with functionality requirements for integrations and implementations.
- Work to evolve and improve our products and offerings:

- Identify and resolve gaps between client requirements and D2L products
- Keep existing implementation solution documentation updated for integration and migration solutions
- Create documentation on new implementation solutions as they develop
- Work with Product Management to develop roadmaps for the integration tools
- Create reusable components to meet client needs

**Competencies (What You'll Bring to the Role)**:

- At least 2 years of relevant experience supporting client needs
- At least 1 year of experience working with Internet technologies, or Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Experience working with relevant technologies and standards, such as SQL, SAML, XML, CSV, SOAP and REST APIs
- Strong business analysis skills, including comfortably communicating with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to elicit requirements and articulate technical solutions
- Ability to multitask many simultaneous projects using strong organizational skills
- Confident and knowledgeable in Information Technology, including systems development lifecycle, systems integration/implementation, and solution architecture
- Highly proactive and independent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

**Education Recommendations**:
