Workplace Health Specialist

The Okanagan Labour Relations Council (OLRC) is based out of beautiful Kelowna, BC and provides trusted, efficient labour relations and human resources solutions that enhance the working and learning cultures of the seven-member school districts we support in the greater Okanagan and Kootenay areas.
This unique position is an excellent opportunity to enhance your disability management and workplace health skills while supporting member school districts. Work-life balance can also be found in the part-time schedule of this ongoing remote-work based position.
Using your strong organizational and communication skills you will provide school districts with strategy and processes that promote regular attendance and support their employees’ wellbeing. You will also utilize your leadership ability to guide and assist districts in all aspects of best practice disability management.
In addition to a related degree or diploma in medical/health sciences or human resources (related discipline/equivalent experience will be considered) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related role in a unionized environment, the successful Workplace Health Specialist will often function without direct supervision and will demonstrate independent judgement within a multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed working group.
