**About the employer**
We are a national law firm with lawyers in 7 offices across Canada. We are looking for a Receptionist/Legal Assistant for our medium size downtown Vancouver office. We offer a competitive compensation package with salary, benefits and bonus opportunity.
**Position description**
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting guests and answering telephones
- Set and clean up client meeting rooms
- Electronic and hard copy filing
- Opening new client files and preparing identification/verification forms
- Closing files
- Photocopying, scanning and preparing Books of Documents
- Receiving, logging and distributing incoming mail and/or couriers
- Performing administrative tasks for two lawyers, one Partner and one Associate including time entry, billing etc.
- Assisting with legal assistant work overflow and vacation coverage
**Role Requirements**
- Legal Assistant training is preferred but not required
- Must have basic accounting skills
- Eager to learn and has ability to adapt
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Detail orientated
- Punctual, hard-working and efficient
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to take initiatives by going the extra mile to add value
Please note this is an in-office position.
Compensation: commensurate with experience
**Salary**: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
