**ROLE STATEMENT**:
Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure, the Network Administrator, will be responsible for providing technical and thought leadership in technologies such as local and wide area networks including SDWAN. Fixed-line voice networks and SIP technologies extending into nontraditional voice platforms such as Microsoft Teams. Scope will include support for firewall and supporting cyber platforms. The Network Administrator will focus on achieving excellence in system uptime and performance, while also being a key contributor in developing a clear roadmap towards automation, orchestration, and hybrid cloud integration that is consistent with company goals, industry-best practices and regulatory requirements.

**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES AND REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE**:

- Plan and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure components, ensuring the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks.
- Support and maintain all data (production and non-production environments) and voice (fixed line) networks and liaise with third-party telecoms providers when necessary.
- Develop and implement policies for network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, related documentation, and technical specifications information.
- Manage compliance with internal and external regulations and policies.
- Support Facilities Management teams with desk and office moves and physical IS asset re-locations.
- Support Service / Help Desk with incident troubleshooting and issues resolution, identifying and remedying network performance bottlenecks.
- Monitor system capacity to determine its affect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing network demands.
- Install and configure all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, etc.
- Knowledge of load balancing (Kemp experience preferred).
- Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other IT and business functions to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate systems to meet business demands.
- Solution Design experience, including the ability to produce quality documentation
- Certificate Management to ensure secure communications.
- Provide virtual appliance maintenance (risk analysis of upgrade/patch and optimization) in production and non-production environments.
- Ability to capacity plan for effective budget cycles and service delivery.
- Conduct research on disruptive technologies, as required, to determine the potential business benefit to Calfrac.
- Managing security and compliance including internal and external regulations and policies
- Participate in annual audit and evidence gathering.
- Assist with Service desk escalations, as required.
- An understanding of agile delivery models.
- Identify and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the client/server environment.
- Cisco Networking (VPN, VLAN, Switching, Routing), ASA Firewalls, NGFW, Viptela SDWAN.
- MPLS, PRI and other WAN and communication technologies.

**ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE**:

- SolarWinds Orion monitoring
- Service Now Ticketing (operational)
- Oracle PaaS and IaaS experience preferred
- Project Management
- Business Analysis

- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of traditional infrastructure systems
- Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior technical analytical position responsible for managing complex on-prem and cloud environments
- University degree or diploma and equivalent experience in the field of computer science or management information systems or related discipline
- Experience working in, or an understanding of oilfield services, would be an asset
- Certifications related to Cisco Networking
