**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the planning and execution of events such as venue sourcing. Find possible event venues according to capacity, cost and availability
- Find out parking situations. Once narrowed down, go to the venues to take photos and videos and share with us
- Get quotes from local reputable security guard companies
- Assist with vendor and volunteer recruitment
- Collaborate with the event planning team to develop marketing strategies that promote upcoming events. Look for local media, and social groups to spread the word out
- Maintain clear communication with team members.
- Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines for event preparation and execution.
- In the future, look for local performers, and audio rentals as needed

- **Requirements**:
- Fluent in English
- Japanese speaking preferred
- Strong interest in Japanese culture
- Residing in Victoria for at least 5 years
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Good knowledge of downtown Victoria
- Previous event planning/management preferred
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
- Solid organizational skills to manage event logistics efficiently.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
