**Job Description** Mission**

We are looking for a piping design technician for our Energy and Resources team. The person we seek will be a key resource in terms of knowledge of piping standards and specifications for various industrial projects. They may also be called upon to work on projects outside this specialty. This is why flexibility is an important asset in the industrial design team.

**Primary responsibilities**
- Design and model piping and mechanical equipment according to standards and specifications in a 3D digital environment (point cloud).
- Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
- Prepare drawings for piping networks.
- Generate isometric drawings using design software.
- Verify 3D models and ensure quality.
- Draw up lists of lines, equipment and pipe connection points.
- Ensure multidisciplinary coordination with the industrial team and other professionals assigned to the project.
- Control the quality of drawings produced by the team of less experienced draftspersons/designers.
- Participate in technical audits, surveys and site work monitoring (on an occasional basis)..

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or certificate in drawing or engineering technology.
- Five years’ experience in piping design in heavy industry (mining, manufacturing, petroleum, pulp and paper).
- Ability to design a piping network in 3D, with emphasis on safety, constructability, ease of maintenance and industry best practices.
- Experience in plant layout and optimization (Brownfield/Greenfield).
- Proficiency in Plant 3D and Revit software.
- Knowledge of Naviswork, Solidworks and Inventor.
- Fluency in French.
