Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this position is responsible for providing HR support in all areas of recruiting for the Company. The role will provide recruiting assistance for all bases and positions, with specific attention to specialized or hard-to-recruit areas. This position will require a results-driven attitude with a strong commitment to achieving goals and targets. The position will require out-of-the-box thinking as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The incumbent will work alongside all levels of managers and work closely with other members of the HR team.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/newspapers/colleges etc
- Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated
- Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
- Promote the company’s reputation as the “best place to work”
- Work within the HRIS system as required for role
- Be the main point of contact for applicants and hiring managers
- Attend job fairs, expos, conferences, recruiting, and community events
- Full cycle recruitment including posting and advertising positions, pre-screening, scheduling interviews, preparing interview packages, participating in interviews, completing reference checks, creating offer letters, and managing new hire documentation
- Oversee the entire hiring process and provide support to managers as required
- Source and attract top talent
- Work alongside management in assessing ongoing staffing requirements and develop compelling job descriptions and related postings
- Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of applicants
- Post and maintain job ads on a multitude of platforms, both internal and external
- Ensure compliance with all related laws and policies as they pertain to recruitment and associated work
- Assist in work related to immigration for skill shortage
- Perform additional duties as assigned

**Minimum Education, Experience, and Certifications**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources
- 2 to 5 years experience in recruiting position
- Previous experience managing full-cycle recruitment required
- Experience with large-scale recruiting as well as recruiting for various roles and positions
- Knowledge of recruitment techniques and all aspects of hiring including social media platforms
- Solid experience using social media for recruiting purposes
- Experience working within an HRIS system preferred
- Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience working in a unionized environment with the ability to read and understand collective agreements preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence
- Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

**Working Conditions**
- Physically able to perform all required job duties
- Travel by flight and overnight stay required to our operational bases, recruiting events, and other needs determined by the company
- Work performed primarily in an office environment
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephone
- Attend and participate in offsite company-interested events
- Able to work evenings and weekends as required
