**Logistics**:
- **This position can be located in any geography in the US or Canada.**:
- This contract will run from January to April, with the possibility of extension.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate the pre-employment process, which includes background checks, reference checks, completing onboarding documents, I9 verification, etc.
- Send new hire details on the pre-employment onboarding process.
- Create and manage access levels to Workday & Greenhouse.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy with government-regulated employment documents.
- Maintain and update company directories and HRIS.
- Updating trackers/spreadsheets to ensure consistency in information to all internal stakeholders.
- Respond to general inquiries and referral follow-ups in a shared inbox.
- Act as the main point of contact for new hires prior to their start date.
- Uphold and embody Paper's mission, vision, and values.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience with Workday.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Motivated self-starter with a passion for learning.
- Strong problem-solving skills and strong written communication.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently, raise issues and take corrective action.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Ability to prioritize deadlines & tasks.
- Knowledge of Canadian/US employment laws and regulations is considered an asset.
