**Missions and Responsibilities**
The scope and purpose of this position consist in developing, facilitating and implementing communication programs and activities in order to attain the NAM Cluster strategic objectives for its Canadian activities. The fluently bilingual (French-English) individual contributes to the planning and implementation of programs or activities pertaining to the management of special events and specific communications plans, and designs, develops and produces communication tools for internal and external audiences. The individual also supervises external suppliers, while promoting Air Liquide quality and safety objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements communication programs in collaboration with key stakeholders in order to promote Air Liquide culture and values, including but not limited to Corporate Social Responsibility
- Develops and maintains communications channels and their content, including but not restricted to the intranets, G+ communities, Town Hall Meetings, webcasts/hangouts, leadership meetings, internet websites, newsletters for the Air Liquide internal and external audiences in Canada
- Implements an internal communications network to ensure the flow of information to all employees
- Plans and provides support for internal and external events and projects.
- Advises and supports business units and corporate functions in organizing their events and communication campaigns
- Develops social and traditional media placement strategies to increase the visibility of Air Liquide and its subsidiaries in Canada
- Writes and edits copy for a wide range of channels: internal communications, intranets, newsletters, press releases, position papers, executive bios, speeches, articles, posts for internal and external social media, slides for presentations, and similar collaterals
- Translate or coordinate translation of material for internal and external audiences
**Competencies and Profile**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Translation, Communication, Journalism or similar field
- Over 5 years of experience in corporate communications or similar role
- Extensive experience in copywriting and translation for companies, agencies and organizations, including speeches, reports, articles, brochures and websites
- Experience in writing and editing effectively and quickly for multiple audiences
- Strong command of grammar and style and knowledge of journalistic writing standards
- Good knowledge of the Google Suite
- Knowledge and experience with publishing, web and social media tools/platforms
- Successful project management and decision-making skills
- Eye for high quality design
- Comfort with managing multiple, aggressive deadlines
