Security Guard Supervisor

Barber Collins security is looking for a full time Supervisor Security Guard who will be responsible for managing schedules, training new hires and keeping in touch with the client on a regular basis. The supervisor will be the main point of contact in order to communicate the needs of the client and oversee staff performance to provide guidance and support for development.

**Shifts**:
Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm

In addition to:

- 24/7/365 availability to client requests.
- 24/7/365 availability for guard coverage.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create, post and submit schedule for payroll every two (2) weeks.
- Assist in covering shifts if required.
- Maintain contact with client.
- Ensure that guards understand their duties or delegated tasks.
- Know and understand parking system management.
- Monitor on job productivity and provide feedback and coaching when required.
- Receive any questions, comments or concerns and provide the appropriate and necessary response.
- Part take in the hiring process and train new employees.
- Ensure that company policies, laws and any procedures are being followed.
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Alarm and access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

**Skills**
- Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role.
- Trained security guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Able and willingly able to learn various and all different job descriptions.
- Able to communicate and conduct interpersonal skills.
- Has exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
