Montreal [hybride] - Accounting Business Analyst

We are hiring a Senior Accounting Business Analyst to work with one of our clients based in Montreal.

**MISSION**:
This IT team is tasked with implementing sophisticated reporting solutions that cater to the specialized needs of Liquidity, Finance, and Risk management sectors. The team's expertise lies in integrating both third-party and internally developed IT solutions, aligning with the high standards and best practices of the organization and its wider group.

The role involves a deep understanding and analysis of the business unit's requirements across various functional domains. The aim is to develop effective, lasting solutions that are in sync with the strategic objectives of the entity and the broader range of requests. A key part of the role is ensuring that these solutions meet the established requirements, effectively addressing the needs of the business unit.

Additionally, the position requires acting as a liaison between the project or maintenance teams and the business unit, focusing particularly on data and functional aspects of the projects. This involves not only technical expertise but also strong communication and collaboration skills to ensure smooth and efficient project progression.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Main Responsibilities**_

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

- Organizing and facilitating meetings to communicate objectives, expectations, project roles, status updates, tracking open issues, and collaborating with various groups and clients to resolve issues promptly.
- Upholding implementation consistency and quality by adhering to project management best practices.
- Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path items while ensuring overall project quality.
- Developing comprehensive project plans encompassing documentation, testing, and the execution of protocols and tasks.
- Collecting and analyzing user requirements and business processes.
- Creating functional specifications for delivery to the IT team.
- Leading project post-mortems and communicating lessons learned to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

**Profile**:

- **Competencies**_
- 5+ years of experience in writing Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Use/Test Cases, Test Plans and other project deliverables preferably in Finance and Accounting.
- Experience with Technology in the Accounting, Ledger or Reporting Systems
- Solid understanding of Project Management processes and workflow; PMP and/or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
- Extensive experience in business and system analysis, including proficiency in gathering requirements and creating system specifications within the financial services industry.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, capable of explaining complex issues clearly and concisely to audiences with varying technical or accounting levels.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
