**Here's what you will do**
Independent Respiratory Services is actively recruiting for a highly energetic and motivated **full-time, permanent Clinical Sleep Consultant **for our Kelowna, BC location.
The Clinical Sleep Consultant will provide education on Obstructive Sleep Apnea and initiate CPAP and BILEVEL therapy and other respiratory services and equipment as prescribed. They work directly with home care clients, referral sources and funding agencies to deliver the highest level of patient care possible.
- Conducts appointments and sets up equipment for sleep diagnostic testing
- Evaluate client therapies and determine respiratory treatment plans in consultation with physicians
- Initiates PAP therapy when prescribed, while providing product/service education
- Provides regular follow-up to clients to evaluate effects of therapeutic care
- Responsible for maintaining updated education related to the position
- Actively promotes related products and provides solutions to client needs
- Responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of all equipment
- Improve the operation of the branch by evaluating processes and workflow, and participating in quality improvement activities
- Maintains client confidentiality and protects Air Liquide Healthcare’s operations
- Responsible for quality documentation and administrative tasks
- Complies to and maintains knowledge of all funding processes and systems.
- Participates in oxygen duties and other respiratory services when required
- Instructs, supervises, and evaluates new staff and students when necessary
**Here's what you will need**
- College Certificate or Diploma in a Technical/Medical Science field
- Registered Respiratory Therapist, or a designation of an RN/RPN/LPN/RPSGT/CCSH
- Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
- Knowledge of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and CPAP therapy
- Agreeing to disclose your COVID-19 vaccination status, as a condition of employment.
- Agreeing to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to maintain such fully vaccinated status, as a condition of employment
