**Role Overview**

West Coast Cold Storage Ltd. is seeking an experienced and results-driven **Business Development Manager** to lead strategic growth and drive new client acquisition across our full range of services, including temperature-controlled warehousing, cross-docking, container unloading, and logistics solutions. This leadership role focuses on building lasting partnerships, delivering customized service proposals, and expanding our presence in local and national markets.

**Role Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Growth & Client Engagement**:

- Develop and implement sales and business strategies aligned with company goals to expand service offerings and market reach.Lead outreach in cold storage, cross-docking, food-grade handling, and warehousing services to targeted industries including food, beverage, and pharmaceuticals.
- **Lead Generation & Pipeline Management**

Proactively generate leads through local networking, trade shows, and cold outreach. Respond promptly to all inbound inquiries, RFQs, and RFPs; manage pipeline using CRM tools to ensure timely follow-ups and conversions.
- **Customized Solutions & Proposal Delivery**

Collaborate with the operations team to design and deliver tailored logistics and storage solutions that align with client needs.Ensure quotes reflect optimal pricing and profitability while addressing customer requirements.Identify growth opportunities in new markets or verticals and present business cases for expansion or new service offerings (e.g., refrigerated transport, packaging support).Stay current on industry trends and competitor offerings to advise leadership on innovations and areas for investment.Support onboarding of new accounts by coordinating with operations and warehouse teams.Build and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts to maximize customer retention and satisfaction.Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales reports and forecasting updates.Participate in quarterly account reviews and internal strategy meetings to refine sales tactics and operational alignment.Represent West Coast Cold Storage at trade shows, networking events, and customer site visits.Promote our reputation for efficiency, cleanliness, reliability, and temperature-controlled logistics expertise.**Role Requirements**

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in warehousing, cold storage, logistics, or 3PL environments
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, temperature-controlled warehousing, and food safety compliance
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and close deals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and sales analytics tools
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive measurable results
- Experience in customer onboarding, operations coordination, and cross-functional collaboration
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel for client visits and industry events as needed

**Preferred Assets**
- Experience in temperature-sensitive logistics or FMCG industries
- Existing network in food distribution, grocery chains, or pharmaceutical logistics
- Knowledge of HACCP, CFIA regulations, or other relevant cold chain compliance standards

Pay: $74,260.00-$76,250.00 per year
