As a **Community Manager**, you will oversee the daily operations of our senior living community in beautiful Courtenay BC, ensuring exceptional housing, hospitality, and care services for our residents in independent living as well as in hospice and long term care. This role is perfect for a driven individual who has exceptional organizational skills and is passionate about service, leadership, and creating a welcoming environment.
**What You'll Do**
- **Lead & Inspire**:Supervise and support staff, ensuring a seamless and high-quality service experience throughout all departments in the village.
- **Enhance Resident Experience**:Oversee housing, dining, recreation, and care services to create a thriving community in both independent living and long term care.
- **Operational Excellence**:Manage budgets, compliance, and maintain licensing and quality standards while driving continuous quality improvement.
- **Community Engagement**:Foster relationships with residents, families, staff, and the local community to build partnerships and enhance village life.
- **Marketing & Growth**:Work with the corporate team to maintain high occupancy rates and promote our community.
**What We Are Looking For**
- **Education**: A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality, Health Care Management, or a related field. Individuals that also possess a clinical background in senior’s care would be extremely beneficial and highly sought after. Equivalent experience and a combination of qualifications may be considered for interview.
- **Experience**: 5 years of recent and related leadership experience in management, hospitality, senior living, or health care.
- **Skills**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with all stakeholders while being able to balance the operational demands and financial budgets of the village are a must
- **Passion for Service**: A commitment to providing exceptional, resident-focused service.
- **Knowledge**: Understanding of the community care and assisted living facility standards and senior’s care is an asset. Additionally experience in occupational health and safety, WorkSafe BC requirements, emergency preparedness and response would be welcomed.
- **Multitasking Ability**: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
**Additional Requirements**:
- A clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (CRC).
- TB screening, and up-to-date immunization records.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
