**Join Our Team as a Community Wellness & Harm Reduction Coordinator**

Are you passionate about making a difference in the community? Do you have a strong commitment to wellness and harm reduction? If so, the K’ómoks First Nation is looking for you to join our team as a Community Wellness & Harm Reduction Coordinator

**What You'll Do**:

- **Curriculum Delivery**: Understand and deliver the opioid core curriculum to enhance harm reduction capacity in the community.
- **Support & Education**: Provide ongoing support to treatment centers, ensuring a culturally safe approach. Work alongside frontline care workers and collaborate with FNHA Addictions Specialists and Indigenous Harm Reduction Educators.
- **Community Engagement**: Build and maintain relationships within the community, respecting local cultural protocols and traditions. Develop and circulate harm reduction resources and support community response planning.
- **Case Management**: Offer client-centered case management for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Coordinate services, provide advocacy, and promote stability and wellbeing.
- **Training & Outreach**: Conduct needs assessments, deliver additional training, and support regional and provincial opioid overdose response efforts. Facilitate wellness and harm reduction groups and conduct community outreach.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Track activities, maintain documentation, and stay informed about relevant legislation and protocols.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in public health, Health Promotion, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in Indigenous harm reduction, mental health, and overdose response (3-5 years preferred).
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and the intergenerational effects of colonization.
- Naloxone Training and Mental Health First Aid certification.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Experience working with Indigenous leadership and communities is preferred.
