**Overview**

Food Truck and Kitchen located in New Westminster is hiring. We are looking for new team members to join our multicultural and dynamic team.

We offer seasonal (March-October) and permanent part-time positions with flexible scheduling, compensation of $18-21/hr with evaluation and performance base increase.

**Brief Job Description**

Team members will learn different workstations and will be responsible for setting up, stocking and maintaining general cleanliness of their assigned station.

This fast paced work environment requires working together as a team, effective communication and the ability to multitask. Team members will interact with each other as well as the general public. Shifts are scheduled on the food truck as well as at the kitchen. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends is an asset.

**Responsibilities**

**Food Preparation**:

- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
- Ensure the proper storage and rotation of food items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

**Line Cooking**:

- Cook food to order according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of dishes for service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation.

**Kitchen Maintenance**:

- Assist with general kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.

**Teamwork**:

- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve kitchen goals.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other departments.
- Be willing to assist with other tasks as needed.

**Qualifications**
- experience in food preparation and cooking in a restaurant setting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of food safety and handling practices, including FoodSafe certification and / or Serve it Right certification
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on food service excellence
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 -12 months

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
