The **Billing & Collections Manager** is responsible for the timely and comprehensive creating and presentment of day-to-day billing activity, credit adjudication on both new and existing customers, and maximizing cash collections to maintain the Accounts Receivable portfolio in current standing. In addition to managing the day-to-day activities of both the Billing and Collections teams, they are also expected to challenge the end-to-end ‘invoice to cash' process and drive continuous improvement to optimize the process and improve speed to cash.

Here's what you will do as a **Billing & Collections Manager**:

- Manage day-to-day billing activity, ensuring timeliness and completeness of all billing streams across all Business Units.
- Champion of process improvement from Invoice to Cash, including documentation of processes digitization of bill presentment and cash receipts
- Monitor and manage day-to-day collections activity to identify customers with collection risks, and focus on all aged accounts/invoices to expedite payment.
- Work with internal business partners and/or external collections and credit report agencies as required to collect on all outstanding balances
- Explore cost effective resources to aid in the collection of overdue accounts
- Perform ratio, trend, and cash flows analysis and report on the results
- Analyze risks and suggest countermeasures
- Prepare informative, accessible, and objective reports on results of analytics activities
- Review and maintain company's credit policies and guidelines
- Actively and effectively coach, mentor, and train new employees
- Support senior management and Directors of Finance with applicable requirements
- Assess systems and processes for continuous improvements in efficiencies and effectiveness
- Other related duties

- Business/Commerce Degree in Finance or Operations
- Minimum 5 Years of relevant experience, in a similar role
- Experience with project cost management and associated billings
- Experience in a publicly traded company is an asset
- Experience with system migration is an asset
- Strong business acumen.
- People manager to motivate and mentor team through daily operations and changes.
- Good knowledge of billing and collection processes and controls, and ability to streamline processes to achieve efficiencies.
- Change agent, with a passion for process re-engineering.
- Strong attention to detail, and analytical/ organizational skills.
