Southampton Solutions is looking for an experienced **IT Infrastructure Specialist **to join our growing team.

As a Managed Service Provider (MSP), we are dedicated to meticulously managing our customers’ IT needs. We are looking to build on our existing infrastructure capabilities by adding more experts with certifications and experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our customers’ IT infrastructures, including hardware, software, servers, and network systems. You will also participate in the design, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure solutions.

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of IT systems and networks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform infrastructure assessments and develop implementable recommendations.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, storage solutions, hardware, software and cloud platforms.
- Provide Level 2 / 3 technical support, resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
- Configure and maintain network equipment (WAP, switches, routers, firewalls), ensuring network security and efficiency.
- VLAN deployment and configurations.
- Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Identify areas for infrastructure optimization and propose solutions to improve efficiency and performance.
- Administer and optimize both physical and virtualization environments using tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent.
- Plan and implement system backup and recovery strategies.
- Coordinate and implement customer infrastructure projects, adhering to system requirements and time management.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Share infrastructure knowledge with other technicians via training and ad hoc support situations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications are a definite asset.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including network systems, servers, and storage.
- Experience with server administration (Windows OS), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage solutions.
- Configuring and troubleshooting network equipment, including switches and firewalls; extensive knowledge of IP, WAN, LAN, and VPN technologies.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure, Entra and 365 deployment and administration.
- Implementing and supporting SAN, NAS, Azure storage and Veaam backup system.
- Use of PowerShell & other scripting approaches to automating IT related tasks.
- Strong interpersonal, troubleshooting, and communication skills and an ability to multitask with a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
- Positive attitude, ability to multitask, and work within a team.

**And a few last things we’re looking for**:

- Must possess a valid Canadian Driver's License to travel to client sites as required.
- Provide an RCMP Criminal background check.
- Bilingualism would be an asset (French and English).

From time to time, the position may require some flexibility and travel outside of regular business hours. In addition to general flexibility, technicians will be required to be available for on-call, after-hours support on a rotating schedule. Current schedule is one week out of every 6-8 weeks (but may be updated as required).
