**Position Summary**:
We're seeking a proactive and adaptable **Remote IT Support Specialist** to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and system administration for our growing network across Canada. This role goes beyond typical IT support; we're looking for someone passionate about technology and eager to contribute to the modernization and efficiency of our operations, from kitchen to customer experience. This role offers opportunities to grow within the company, potentially leading to project management, system administration, and even influencing the future technological direction of Pizza Garden.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Technical Support & Troubleshooting**:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including but not limited to:
- Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and related hardware (printers, scanners, etc.)
- Computer hardware (desktops, laptops, tablets)
- Operating systems (Windows, macOS, potentially Android/iOS)
- Network connectivity (routers, modems, Wi-Fi)
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate vendors or internal resources.
- **System Administration & Maintenance**:
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data security.
- Assist with updates and upgrades to existing systems.
- **Project Participation & Enhancement (Opportunity for Growth)**:
- Participate in IT projects, such as POS system implementations, new software deployments, and network infrastructure upgrades.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and efficiency.
- Assist with the development and implementation of training materials for end-users.
- Contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures.

- Project Management
- Vendor Management
- Database Administration
- Network Security
- **Documentation**:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Update documentation regularly to reflect changes in the IT environment.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.
- Provide timely and professional updates to users regarding the status of their support requests.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in IT support or a related field.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with POS systems is a plus.
- Experience with network administration and security.
- Experience with database administration is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- A customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
