**As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for**:
- Growing and fostering a positive team environment where people are valued, appreciated & where creativity is encouraged.

- Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives, promoting work efficiencies and the building of an Operational Excellence culture
- Be a strong confident leader of the maintenance team including millwrights, electricians, machinists, and welders.
- Troubleshoot by researching manuals, consulting with other maintenance team members, Hess technicians and sourcing outside service support and parts as required.
- Ensure all department equipment inspections, PMs, TPMs and Leader Standard Work tasks are completed.
- Coordinate with team and Safety in creating and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Work Procedures.
- Confirm SOP and SWP training is complete and regular monitoring of team members is occurring.
- Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to team members in maintenance and production.
- Enforce safety and environmental regulations.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records / reports to determine department requirements.
- Oversee and review department quality standards to ensure both external and internal customer expectations are met. Communicate and train employees on quality standards.
- Oversee Maintenance department equipment maintenance and housekeeping.
- Approve supply requests as per purchasing guidelines and within budget.
- Oversee Maintenance departments spare parts inventory.
- Assist in execution of company capital projects.
- Recommend equipment upgrades and replacements to the Maintenance Manager.
- Approve and edit employee hours, review, and approve time off requests and communicate with Payroll and HR as required.
- Mentor and coach through performance management such as one-on-one meetings, Annual Reviews and Progressive Corrective Action as required, educating on employment standards and safety regulations.
- Partner with HR, Safety, and Industrial Trainer to provide training to employees as required.
- Follow accident reporting, investigations and return to work program guidelines.
- Review monthly budgets and adjust department goals as required to meet organizational goals.
- Review all department metrics weekly and make improvements based on data.
- A Journeyman Millwright ticket or Red Seal Certification (equivalent proven work experience may be considered)
- An Industrial Mechanic background in a highly automated manufacturing environment
- 10 plus years of experience in leadership, supervision, team building, process development & team motivation strategies
- Proven leadership abilities to guide and unite a tight team and to lead well in all maintenance initiatives
- Proven ability to work well with the local team, staff from other locations, and local trades & services as required
- An internally/self-motivated drive for great customer service, efficient time management, and for reaching positional/team goals/expectations.
- Familiarity with automated production equipment, welding, hydraulics, proportional and servo hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, mobile equipment, and overhead cranes. Familiarity with PLCs, VFD’s and sensing devices both analog and digital is an asset. (Siemens PLC products specifically)
- Good verbal and written communication skills for completing records, interacting with machine operators to diagnose issues and coordinating with other maintenance staff.
- Knowledge of basic Employment Standards, Safety Regulations and CSA Standards
- A positive attitude and self-motivation, with an interest in continual learning/training and mentoring others
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable with varying day to day assignments along with creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Openness to learn about concrete mix design, concrete testing, and other product knowledge to strengthen team problem solving capabilities.
**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
