Job description
Role Description: This position is responsible for supporting our customers’ computers and associated software, assessing their business needs, configuring, installing and training end users. Customer-submitted service requests would also be completed as assigned. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and demonstrated customer service skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities **Provide regularly scheduled maintenance to customers—Upsell where appropriate. **Diagnose and repair or replace PC hardware. **Diagnose and repair desktop operating system problems. **Deliver and set up PCs on existing networks, including software, peripherals, etc., installation as agreed upon in our terms of sale. **Participate in project teams for network installations, upgrades etc. **Initiate and follow up on RMAs and warranty returns on equipment. **Pick up and deliver equipment. **Organize and maintain tech room. **Inventory new parts and build/maintain supplies of network cables etc. **Create or update written documentation in accordance with our client requirements. **Prepare, maintain and adhere to procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring network data. **Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures manuals and help sheets for network installations. **Upgrade skill levels and maintain or upgrade professional credentials by participating in seminars, courses, self paced training etc., as agreed upon with the supervisor. **Write contributions for our blog and our website as req
Working Conditions **The usual work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some nights and weekends are required. **Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines. **Travel to other company locations is required. **Car and valid driver’s license required. **Normal office environment where there is little physical discomfort due to temperature, dust and noise. **Regular interruptions, multiple demands and time pressures. **Sitting for extended periods. **Standing and walking are required for less than 25% of the time. **Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other devices. **Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects such as computers and peripherals. **Occasional bending, lifting, pulling, pushing and reaching/crouching**
**Salary**: $52,999.00-$60,000.00 per year
