Omnitrans, a leader in Canadian customs brokerage, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you’ll bridge business needs with technology solutions that support customs brokerage and logistics operations. You will join our team in solving complex problems, building innovative solutions, and shaping the future of trade technology in our global organization.
**What you’ll do**:

- Partner with business leaders, system owners, and end users to understand needs, define requirements, and translate them into effective IT solutions.
- Analyze and document business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Write clear technical specifications, functional designs, and system proposals that guide development and configuration.
- Lead design and testing sessions to validate solutions, ensure quality, and optimize user experience.
- Evaluate system effectiveness and propose strategies to maximize ROI from IT investments.

**What you bring**:

- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years as a BSA or similar role (logistics/supply chain a plus).
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design.
- Experience with EDI, XML, APIs, and SQL.
- Familiarity with Cargowise, Descartes, or other brokerage systems (asset).
- Knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and database systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, analytical, and able to balance details and strategic goals.
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
