Family Dynamix is looking for a Full Time Better At Home Coordinator in the Elk Valley to join our team of vibrant, sincere, and professional individuals.
The Better at Home Coordinator plans, develops, implements and oversees day-to-day operation of the program, conducts client intakes, needs assessments, individual action plans, makes appropriate referrals and follows-up on implementation. Recruits, supervises, and trains volunteers, and program staff as needed. Raises awareness in the community about the program. Monitors and authorizes expenditures in accordance with established procedures. Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.
1. Raises awareness in the community about the Better At Home Program. Assists partners in becoming strong advocates for seniors.
2. Conducts one-on-one intakes, needs assessments, and makes appropriate referrals for seniors; creates individual action plans and ensures the implementation.
3. Encourages community action by supporting seniors/organizations to identify needs in the community.
4. Oversees the day-to-day operation of the program by ensuring that the necessary services and supports are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards and licensing requirements are met.
5. Recruits volunteers for the program.
6. Orients and determines the need for and provides training to program staff and volunteers.
7. Supervises program staff and volunteers by performing duties such as assigning work, providing feedback on performance, and conducting performance evaluations.
8. Schedules program staff and volunteers in accordance to program staffing/volunteers requirement.
9. Assists in the development of a sustainability plan. Assists in identifying and securing additional funds for this community. Advocates for the necessity of investment in and supports seniors in the community.
10. Reports and is accountable to the Director of Program Management or the Executive Director in her absence.
11. Monitors and authorizes expenditures in accordance with established procedures. Provides input to the Director of Program Management and the Executive Director in the preparation of the budget.
12. Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.
Diploma in a related human/social service field.
Three (3) years recent related experience including on (1) year supervisory or administrative experience.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Pay: $33.77 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
