We are currently looking for a motivated, autonomous and a team-oriented individual to join our operations team in Edmonton, Alberta as a Warehouse Operator

As a Warehouse Operator in our Edmonton facility, you will be responsible for receiving and shipping various commodities for customers serviced in various sectors such as Oil and Gas or Industrial. You will learn about Health, Safety and Environment and Responsible Distribution.

Here are some of the duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Operator:

- Receiving, storing, and dispatching all stock items in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Unloading railcars and managing materials.
- Assisting in the implementation of safety programs within the warehouse, including TDG, WHMIS, ISO, Responsible Distribution, and more.
- Contributing to the overall maintenance of the building and warehouse equipment, including lift-trucks and scales.
- Executing special instructions, such as bulk handling, drumming, repackaging, etc.
- Participating in relevant training sessions as necessary.
- Assisting in the operation and maintenance of the Heating Plant boiler when required.
- Operating a forklift truck with appropriate certification.
- Managing paperwork, including warehouse release, bill of lading, certificates of analysis, and cover sheet.
- Ensuring that daily shipment edit lists are reviewed to handle orders in line with customer needs and expectations.
- Conducting physical inventory counts to guarantee accurate inventory records (quantity/lots/locations).
- Generating warehouse release requests, bills of lading, and certificates of analysis.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the Logistics, Customer Service, and Procurement departments to fulfill customer and operational requirements.

What qualifications and abilities are necessary for this position?
- Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, motivation and the capacity to work safely under pressure with mínimal supervision is critical
- Previous experience in warehouse or manufacturing, specifically with chemicals or in the oil and gas industry is beneficial
- Ability to wear complete personal protective equipment (including cartridge mask testing).
- High-school diploma completion.
- Good overall physical fitness, including the capability to lift heavy loads and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities, excellent communication skills, and adept problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with WHMIS / TDG would be advantageous.
- Possession of forklift certification and experience in operating a forklift would be beneficial.
- Holding a 5th Class Power Engineering certification would be an asset.
