Governed by an active board of Directors, The Calnash Ag Event Center is a 60,000 + sq. Ft.
Indoor ag eventing facility, featuring a 130’ x 240’ indoor arena, a 110’ x 140’ warmup pen, seating for 600 spectators, fully supported by a 280+ stall stable, outdoor arena and covered livestock handling systems. In operation since 2012, it has developed a solid reputation in the industry with promoters and contestants for a world class facility and experience. Located centrally and supported by a community focused on Western Heritage, bookings in the facility are sought after.

The Opportunity
As the premier agriculturally based eventing facility in Western Canada, the Calnash Ag Event
Center in Ponoka, is seeking a casual Event Services team-member to join our team. The role requires a flexible working style while maintaining confidentiality and diplomacy at all times.

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Event Services team are key members of the

**Responsibilities**:
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service to our clients and guests.
- Respond to client and guest inquires while providing accurate information on events and services in a timely manner.
- Maintain a “seen” presence for clients and guests
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure client needs are supported and met.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.

Event Setup Duties
- Opening and closing venues ensuring guest safety.
- Assisting with the setup of arena events
- Working events ensuring client needs have been met
- Setting up of banquet rooms which includes tables, chairs, display tables, bar equipment and catering equipment.
- Ensure completion of event setups in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensuring event day setup requirements are achieved and any last-minute client requests.
- Takes a lead role in event conversions ensuring specific needs of the client are achieved in a timely manner.

Building Maintenance & Janitorial Duties
- Janitorial duties including maintaining event areas, cleaning washrooms, garbage removal and ensuring event spaces are cared for prior, during and after events.
- Cleaning and organizing workspace reporting irregularities, damage and or loss of property and safety concerns.
- Cleaning bleachers, operating walk-behind floor scrubber
- All other duties assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Grade 10 or equivalent
- Ability to work around animals and livestock while understanding animal behavior's
- One year experience in custodial or building maintenance or related activities
- Ability to exert moderate to high physical strength in lifting as well as bending, walking, crouching, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Ability to work alone.

- First Aid
