We are seeking a dependable and customer service focused **Quality Assurance Representative **to join our team in **Waterloo, ON** and contribute to the success of our organization.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- **Primary Responsibility - Quality Assurance**:_
- Conduct quality control checks on all the projects within the territory.
- Service and install any missing items during walk throughs to ensure 100% completion.
- Record all deficiencies and service work performed daily and submit to Project Manager for review and processing.
- Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained for the service van and report items used daily to the Project Manager.
- Monitor existing jobsites for activity/volume so that manpower is always adequate.
- Liaise with Scheduling Coordinator to ensure all schedules are met and that manpower is adequate.
- Suggest specific trim crews for specific sites to Scheduling Coordinator.
- Seek out new trim carpenters and evaluate the work they do for other customers to qualify them.
- Deliver hardware to jobsites when necessary.
- Inform Warehouse Manager when there is extra material to be picked up when houses are complete or to deliver material to site when it is short and state reasons for shortage/overage when possible.
- Inform Owners/Directors of ongoing issues with customers and subcontractors when they cannot be solved otherwise.
- Communicate with carpenters daily to ensure they have the correct quantities of material to complete their work in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- **Secondary Responsibility - Measuring (Back-Up)**:_
- Read and interpret blueprints, and/or measure houses to complete electronic takeoffs completely and accurately.
- Confirm specifications on customer purchase orders and/or colour/specification sheets provided by customers. and give proper information to Materials Department.
- Make sure all special orders are requested in a timely manner to avoid backorders.
- Handle general customer service and inquiries when required.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:

- High School Diploma is required.
- Post-secondary education in woodworking, carpentry and/or construction or in another related field, or an equivalent of formal education and experience is preferred.
- Health & Safety Courses/Training: WHMIS & Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training (HSAT).
- Valid G class Driver’s License.

**Experience**:

- 3+ years’ experience installing interior finishings is an asset.
- 2+ years’ of related experience in a field office environment with an emphasis on large scale multi-residential projects.
- Previous customer service experience an asset.
- Site/field experience is considered an asset.
- Previous residential construction experience is considered an asset.
- Previous quality control experience an asset.

Work Environment: Residential homes; Construction sites.

Tools: Cell Phone; Computer; Power/hand tools, Carpentry tools, Measuring tape; Vehicle.

- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of construction practices/schedules/deadlines.
