**What we are looking for**

The Payroll Supervisor will process and oversee all payroll operations for our group, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing for employees across Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and other major provinces in Canada, and some states in US. This role combines operational expertise with strategic planning, offering the opportunity to lead projects to centralize payroll, streamline workflows, and implement automation initiatives. The Payroll Supervisor will also manage and mentor a Payroll Administrator, who will support the day-to-day operations.
- Process and manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal payroll regulations, including taxation, deductions, and statutory reporting.
- Review and approve payroll calculations, adjustments, and time and attendance reconciliations to maintain accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage the annual payroll related flings, including T4, T4A, EHT, WSIB and work safe program in different provinces.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or employee inquiries promptly.
- Maintain and update payroll system records and ensure accurate data entry for new hires, terminations, and changes.
- Lead initiatives to centralize payroll operations across the organization.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency through automation.
- Hire, train, and mentor a Payroll Administrator, providing guidance and support for professional growth.
- Support payroll transition for new acquisitions.

**Who you are**
- Degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in payroll + a supervisory experience of minimum 1 year.
- CPC/CPM Certification.
- Experience with payroll for multi-provincial operations, preferably in Ontario, BC and Alberta. US payroll experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and tools, with expertise in system optimization and automation. Experience with one of the major payroll systems is an asset
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in Canada.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Self-motivated and strong willingness to learn
