**Summary**:
Miller Paving is seeking an ambitious Payroll Coordinator to join our Team. Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Coordinator will manage end-to-end payroll. You will bring motivation, adaptability, and innovation across various payroll and administrative functions.
**As a Payroll Coordinator, You Will**:
- Work closely with Field Admin staff for the processing of all employee timecards. Responsible for processing the Time Tracking of variable hours (overtime, on call, premiums, shifts, etc.)
- Complete payroll related transactions ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with legislation and company policies
- Identify the information required to support the day-to-day delivery of transactions, such as new hires, rehires, terminations, overtime and on-call timesheets and other employee payments
- Run Weekly/Bi-Weekly payroll/audit reports prior to pay close
- Process ROE’s
- Liaise with accounting, HR, Service Canada
- Assist with ongoing audit or testing requirements and other ad
- hoc duties as required
**What You'll Bring**:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Admin or Accounting, or equivalent combination of experience
- 2+ years’ experience with computerized payroll - JDE experience an asset
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification or in progress an asset
- Experience in handling confidential information and working productively in a highly functional team environment
- Ability to plan and complete daily activities with mínimal direction and effectively meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail while dealing with payroll data
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and get to the root of discrepancies
- Effective communication (Verbal and written)
- Proficiency with computers and MS Excel
