**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyzes scope of work to bid.
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Carries out other related tasks and projects as required.

**Qualifications**
- Education: Diploma or Degree in engineering, estimating or extensive experience
- Experience: at least 3 years’ experience as an Estimator in a metal or plastic manufacturing environment
- Experience reading blueprints
- Excellent numerical analytical skills
- Strong MS Excel and Word Skills, ERP or MRP experience an asset
- Strong oral and written English
- Able to work in a dynamic high paced environment
- Eager and willing to learn and progress.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Solid Works Experience would be an asset
