Richmond, Canada Moving Coffee Roastery Full time

Responsibilities:

- Assist in completion of daily and weekly roasting productions.
- Take care of daily production samples as required by QC protocol
- Learn how to operate (basics) multi-function roast machine(s) via Cropster Intelligence
- Planning, preparing green coffee, roast cycle completion, end of roast fulfillment.
- Responsible for consistent, superior roasts and assisting our production team.
- Online, B2B and B2C Orders fulfillments.
- Assist and handle orders deliveries.
- Communicate with order fulfillment team of roast schedule and roasted coffee inventory.
- Assist in orders summary, order ad hoc problem solving, and orders deliveries.
- Packing and dispatching will be driven by mínimal error-rates and fast execution.
- Implement efficiency measurements to minimize production costs.
- Customer service, quality control, dispatch and administration around our roastery.
- Performing preventive coffee roasting machine maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Welcomes B2B / B2C customers and engages in dialogue to determine their coffee interests and needs.
- Promotes coffee consumption by educating B2B customers; selling coffee and coffee subscriptions, and accessories.
- Educates customers by presenting and explaining in season speciality coffee roast menu; answering any questions regarding taste profile and etc.
- Liaise with training team and provide B2B coffee workshops/trainings.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing roasting processes; implementing changes.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
- Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

**Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Prior café or coffee shop experience, an asset, or a strong willingness and dedicated passion to learn more about the process and preparation of speciality coffees
- Written and conversational English is beneficial, along with additional languages, such as Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin, to serve a diverse speciality coffee clientele.

Note: Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Part-time hours: 35 per week

**Salary**: $15.65-$19.75 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
