**Who we need**

Reporting to the Director, Sourcing and Procurement, we are looking for a **Buyer/Planner** fluent in English and Spanish. You will strategically source and award business to ensure delivery of on-time, high-quality, cost-effective options for the team. You will work closely with the vendor base and internal production staff to ensure jobs ship on time and align with the established quality and pricing standards. Working with the procurement team, you will source new suppliers to expand the supply base to sustain and meet our scaling product requirements.

**You will**:

- _ Own the qualifying process. _You will work with the Purchasing team to qualify and grow the existing vendor base to support a fast-growing buying portfolio. You will gather, document, and analyze multiple quotes, awarding business for large-scale and smaller projects.
- _ Manage expectations._ You will collaborate with the Purchasing Team Lead to pre-negotiate vendor pricing (rate card implementation), reserve vendor capacity and build long-term strategic partnerships via service-level agreements. You will work with the vendors to ensure on-time delivery of products to fit our production and ship date requirements.
- _ Nurture relationships._ You will focus on fostering a collaborative partnership with the Array Mexico procurement team for purchasing and sourcing requirements. You will work closely with production teams to review the weekly schedule, compare capacity vs workload plan, and be aware of seasonal spikes. You will meet with and interview Vendor representatives to secure supply and keep abreast of developments, market trends, negotiate prices, service, quality, etc.
- _ Analyze and report._ You will assist with maintaining up-to-date Purchase Orders, Vendors, Items, and Inventory databases. You will prepare vendor capacity analysis to help build level load plans. You will assess forecasted demand and monitor raw material stock levels to ensure the continuous flow of finished goods products into Array. You will support the Purchasing Team with supplier benchmarking reports and on-time delivery reports.
- _ Plan._ You will schedule and expedite materials for pending production job; flagging high-risk or potentially late-trending issues. You will ensure pricing is in line with budgetary cost estimates and work closely with A/P, receiving team and vendor base to assist in resolving invoicing issues. You will find creative solutions to maintain on-time delivery while ensuring business margins remain unaffected.
- _ Support continuous improvement initiatives._ You will identify gaps, propose solutions in supplier qualification and certification processes, and drive continuous improvement in all procurement activities.

**You have**:

- _ The experience._ You have a background in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration, ideally in multi-commodity purchasing for product manufacturing.
- _ The technical skills._ You are familiar with commodity indices. You have experience with ERP and MRP systems, and you are proficient in MS Office Suite. You can read and understand process documents, operation materials, and reports.
- _ The ownership._ You are results-driven, with sound judgment. You are detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. You hold yourself accountable as a contributing member in a team environment.
- _ The interpersonal skills. _You are fluent in Spanish and English, with professional communication skills. You can build trust, collaborative relationships and confidently work with team members, vendors, customers, and leaders. You embrace continuous change and exhibit adaptability to work within realistic deadlines.
