**Job Overview**

Moohan Taekwondo was founded in 2017 to provide quality martial arts training in a way that promotes excellence in technical skills, character development and Taekwondo spirit. We aim to empower the individual, the family, and the community to realize their full potential.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring Club Manager to help unleash the potential of our students. Your primary duty will be to oversee the operation of the club and train instructors to teach all levels of Taekwondo. In addition, we are looking for a club manager with a specialization in poomsae (patterns) to lead our High Performance Poomsae team.

To be successful as an Club Manager, you should be ready to lead and mentor the instructor staff with the development and implementation of our club curriculum as well as identify and solve issues with the physical, technical, and emotional development of our instructors and students. You must have strong communication skills, be knowledgeable in Taekwondo and educational techniques, and be passionate about the success of your followers. You must also be prepared to become a positive role model for our staff and students both inside and outside the club.

With your deep understanding of poomsae techniques, rules, and competition strategies, you will lead our poomsae coaches and athletes to strong performances at the local, national and international levels.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Foster a positive learning environment
- Lead and mentor instructors and instructors-in-training
- Monitor staff and student development and identify areas of excellence and/or concern
- Assign staff duties, including scheduling and teaching assignments
- Ensure instructors are following the Moohan curriculum and syllabus
- Enforce safety rules and regulations
- Plan and deliver club events such as camps, tournaments, and field trips
- Develop and oversee training plans for high performance poomsae coaches and athletes

**Qualifications and Skills**
- 1st dan Taekwondo or higher with Kukkiwon certificate
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Comfortable in a leadership role
- Able to have difficult conversations particularly around staff performance
- Comfortable teaching students of all ages in small and large group settings
- Well-organized and tenacious
- An understanding and caring attitude and a strong desire to make a difference
- First Aid (including CPR) certified, or the ability to become certified

**Schedule**
- 6-8 hour shift
- Monday - Friday 2:00 - 10:00 pm
- Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Additional availability for events: tournaments, camps, promotion tests, etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON L6B 0P2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:
