**Experiential Learning Coordinator**:
**Primary Purpose**: The primary purpose of this position is to provide effective leadership and management of the _RBC Learn to Work, and Work to Learn_ program, and coordinate the related industry engagement, career education and industry outreach activities. Additionally, the role holder will contribute to advancing skill development through experiential learning institutionally, connecting and contributing to projects and initiatives in this area.
This position reports to the Manager, Career Services. The RBC Career Peer Educator reports to this position.

**Nature of the Work**:The Experiential Learning Coordinator exercises a high level of discretionary decision-making and judgment. The ability to advance projects in alignment with institutional goals and objectives is essential. This position is required to establish and maintain a high level of professional relationships amongst a wide stakeholder group that supports excellent collaboration and problem-solving, and establishes personal credibility both internal and external to the university. The work is complex, requiring creativity, close attention to detail and quality of work, and the need to collaborate with the unit and across the institution whilst balancing stakeholder interests. A particular focus will be to increase industry engagement amongst participating colleges and improve participation in undergraduate and graduate student experiential development and education. This position has a strong impact on the credibility and profile of the institution and the TLSE. Some travel, evening and weekend work may be required.

**Accountabilities**:
**Industry and Student Outreach and Engagement**
- With Career Services colleagues, coordinates the _RBC Learn to Work, and Work to Learn_ program:
- Builds relationships with _RBC Learn to Work, Work to Learn_ college partners to ensure a common vision for the program and agreed commitments to enable successful execution of the course and associated activities.
- Coordinates the work experience course with applicable instructor(s).
- Ensures program expectations and objectives are communicated to students, instructors and industry partners.
- Liaisons with college-based career and student service professionals on various initiatives.
- Coordinates program delivery and promotion, including development and communication of on-line resources.
- Ensures academic interests and needs, along with support necessary for program and student success, are identified.
- Develops, coordinates, promotes and facilitates career education workshops, seminars and industry events as described in the _RBC Learn to Work, Work to Learn_ program.
- Collaborates with the Career Services Event and Communications Specialist and the RBC Career Peer Educator to develop and maintain appropriate social media promotions and web content.
- Identifies industry and student interests and needs, along with supports necessary for program and student success.
**Institutional and Stakeholder Collaboration and Communications**
- Works closely with the _RBC Learn to Work, and Work to Learn_ steering committee.
- Develops strong working relationships with various key stakeholder groups (i.e. industry partners, alumni, college-based career and student service professionals, professional associations, student groups, etc.) across all colleges involved in the program.
- Ensures effective working relationships are developed and maintained with industry organizations, student groups and other career-focused and student support units on campus.
- Participate in university-level committees as identified to be appropriate.
- Provides timely response to stakeholder concerns.
**Experiential Learning and Career Education**
- Develop a strong practical and theoretical knowledge of experiential learning and share expertise within Career Services and across the institution.
- Lead the development and expansion of experiential learning opportunities, resources and programs within Career Services.
- Contribute to conversations and initiatives to create and foster an institutional culture that values, supports and promotes skills development through experiential learning.
- Work with Career Services team to develop, support and deliver programming and resources that align with Career Services’ strategic direction.
- Undertake personal and professional development activities to increase one’s knowledge of career and employment, and to advance one’s career education skills.
- Undertake other activities, as may be delegated from time to time, in support of Career Services and TLSE goals and priorities.
**General**
- Ensure programming undertaken is aligned with and advancing intended institutional, college and student outcomes.
- Assists in developing and manages annual budgets for the program and initiatives to ensure cost-effective use of resources.
