**The Role**:
**The Responsibilities**:
- Process day-to-day transactions including A/R, A/P, Payroll, and Benefits, Banking.
- Track and monitor all expenses, including project-, office-, and travel-related costs, with the ability to provide up to date reports and job costing analysis.
- Prepare government remittances including GST, HST, WSIB, etc.
- PrepareT4’s, T5’s, EHT returns at Year End (using ADP or similar software)
- Analyze accounts up to trial balance, prepare reconciliations.
- Preparation and analysis of monthly and yearly financial statements; Coordination with company accountant.
- Create and send client invoices for progress draws using QuickBooks Online; Track client payments.
- Track subtrade payments and holdbacks in accordance with progress on job site
- Compile and send Project Packages (Initial and closing) to clients
- Manage subtrades database and ensure all meet requirements (COI, WSIB, Form 1000)
- Create Purchase Orders (PO) and Change Orders (CO) in BuilderTrend (trade work, materials, fixtures, finishes) and update accordingly
- Support Project Team as required; Coordinate with Project Managers and Site Supervisors on all deliveries and project schedules.
- Prepare Health & Safety / Project Kickoff packages for all new job sites.
- Maintain and update employee profiles, contact information, and training records; set-up benefits packages.
- Monitor and review employee timesheets, ensuring labour is logged within proper jobsite.
- Regularly communicate with subcontractors and suppliers in a professional manner
- Foster trustworthy business relationships with clients, with an approachable demeanor and excellent communication
- Complete other duties and responsibilities related to office administration (maintain supplies, etc.)
**The Requirements & Recommended Assets**:
- Formal education/certification in Bookkeeping
- Minimum five (5+) years of bookkeeping and managerial experience in Accounting (construction or related field is preferred)
- Proficient and confident in using Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Office programs;
- Comfortable with cloud-based systems (Gsuite/OneDrive)
- Experience using ADP (or other comparable payroll software); Switching to HUMI, so experience with this is an asset.
- Expert organization and workflow process driven.
- Able to work independently and with mínimal supervision.
- High level understanding of company confidentiality
- Team-oriented work style, excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and adjust quickly to changes in priorities and work within a team environment to achieve results
- Personable, approachable, confident with both written and phone communication
- **Asset**: Human Resources experience, strong interpersonal qualities
- **Asset**: Experience with construction project management software (BuilderTrend); however, training will be provided
- Ability to reliably commute (Uxbridge, ON) (required)
- Office hours: 8:30am-4:30pm, 2-3 set days per week (no weekends)
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
