DESCRIPTION
The Warehouse Assistant role opens the door to a fast-paced career supporting both warehouse operations. You will be provided progressive on-the-job training and experience to set you up for success. Compiling orders, job site deliveries, and shop maintenance will be daily aspects of the role, making the Warehouse Assistant pivotal in ensuring operations run smoothly. You will earn all the required certifications - first aid, forklift, fit testing, fall protections, scissor/boom lift, etc. as well. Focusing on safety first, OHD ensures each employee is equipped to uphold our legacy and grow in skills and confidence.
This role works closely with the warehouse team, and technicians. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the role hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4pm, plus the potential for overtime.
QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires a high level of focus on safety and solutions, adaptability, and a positive “can-do” attitude, as well as:
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Safety mindset
- Self-directed time-management skills
- Multi-task in an often high-pressure environment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Valid BC Drivers license and clean abstract
NICE TO HAVES
- Familiarity with the construction industry
- Welding and mechanical aptitude
- Training in any of the areas listed above
LOCATION
Warehouse based in Coquitlam, BC - where “Fun is Our Nature”.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
