**Job Overview**:
Reporting to the EVP, the Area Operations Manager (ON) oversees multiple sites of the client within the GTA. This position supports Aurum's focus to expand its presence in Ontario. This role has the overall lead for keeping a large project meeting all production goals, delivering high-quality services, meeting all Health and Safety requirements, and meeting profitability targets. This involves coordinating with Business Partners to understand the work that needs to be completed and passing this in clearly written guidance to subordinate operations managers at sites. This role requires effective communication skills that are regularly exercised with clients, company leadership, HR, subordinate managers, and team workers for multiple sites.

**Salary**:Up to $120,000 per year + annual bonus

**Hours of Operation**: 1:00 PM- 9:00 PM (EST), Mon-Fri

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for overseeing operations on nine sites that run 365 days per year.
- Be the primary contact with the client for the management of this project.
- Manage a diverse team of field operations personnel, including bus drivers, servicing technicians, and cleaning staff.
- Manage productivity and budgets.
- Participate in the hiring and training of new team managers and supervisors.
- Evaluate the performance of subordinates, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare operational, health and safety, and training manuals related to work on this project.
- Oversee the efficiency of operations, keep metrics on each site's efficiency, and evaluate where additional operational efficiency can be gained.
- Oversee daily and monthly work submissions from all sites.
- Provide weekly and monthly summaries on progress and update as required.
- Maintain regular communications with the client, subordinate managers and supervisors, HR, and other members of leadership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Reinforcing work safety, on a daily basis, by means of communication (safety talks and awareness), training (as applicable), and visual (identifying potential hazards at the workplace, signs, etc.) and taking preventive measures to ensure the safety of employees, client staff and the general public.
- Maintain documentation and record keeping of all safety meetings and/or discussions for the duration of the contract.
- Work with Aurum head office staff to complete all necessary administrative tasks.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Certification and License**:

- The Site Manager is required to complete the Technical Standard and Safety Authority (TSSA) Site Operator Certification and provide proof of certification before beginning the work on-site.
- Possession of a current Ontario License (Class A, B, or C with Z endorsement) and a clean abstract is an asset.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of management of a workforce of over 50 personnel
- Good organization and reporting skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Degree or diploma is considered an asset.
- 5+ years experience supervising or managing in the service industry.
- Strong team-building skills and ability to motivate others.
- Team-player mindset and willingness to collaborate.
- Willing to take responsibility and act independently when necessary.
- Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office / Google Tools and learn new programs.
