As a Legal Administrative Clerk at Monark Ventures Inc., you will play a crucial role in supporting our team in various administrative tasks related to corporate compliance and document management. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Corporate Filings and Compliance:
- Prepare and submit annual return filings in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain an annual calendar to track annual return deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
- Communicate with stakeholders to collect necessary information and documentation for filings.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel for corporate matters.
- Monitor and update corporate records to maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
Document Management:
- Organize and maintain legal documents, contracts, and records in an efficient and secure manner.
- Assist team in drafting and editing legal documents and correspondence.
- Ensure all documents are properly filed and accessible to authorized personnel.
Tax Filing Progress Tracking:
- Monitor and track the progress of tax return filings.
- Maintain accurate records of tax-related correspondence and deadlines.
Company Formation and Dissolution:
- Assist in the process of forming new companies, including preparing necessary documents and filings.
- Handle the dissolution of companies, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain records related to company formation and dissolution activities.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in legal studies is a plus.
- Prior experience in a legal administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with annual requirements for Canadian corporations is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of corporate compliance and tax regulations is a plus.
