Audio Visual Technician

Convergint is currently recruiting for an experienced Audio-Visual Technician to join their team in Calgary, AB. There will be the opportunity for out-of-town work in this position.

**What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”**
- Main support to the client, ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
- Build equipment system racks, pull cable, and prepare equipment for installation
- Installation of completed racks, projectors, monitors / videowalls and related sub-mounts.
- Assists with testing of system components to assure system completeness and convention.
- Assures each system’s physical completeness is in accordance with installation drawings.
- Handles other duties relative to the job as assigned by management.
- Acts as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.

**What You’ll Need**
- Advanced capabilities for troubleshooting, audio system and video set up
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to regularly work under pressure; consistent ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
- Advanced technical skills and experience related to Audio Visual systems
- Advanced programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions
- Must be a self-starter and work well without direct supervision
- Frequent visits to jobsites are required. Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of three to five years of previous, field service experience in Audiovisual, Electronics or related industry
- Minimum of three years’ experience installing audio-visual systems, teleconferencing systems, corporate video systems, control systems
- Experience with logistics & resource Management
- Diploma in Electronics or Audio Visual preferred
- Valid and current AVIXA CTS Certification preferred
- Manufacturer training / certificates such Crestron, Q-SYS / QSC, Extron, Poly, Newtek, Shure, Cisco, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, AMX
