Burly Boyz Moving and Storage has been revolutionizing the moving and storage industry for 16 years and will continue to lead the industry in years to come. Our business operates four locations across Canada: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto. We conduct local moves and offer storage in each market, however, our specialty is in Interprovincial moving. We are around 60 employees, operate 14 Moving Trucks.

Our organization is focused on growth as we continue to expand our reach in existing and new markets across Canada. As we grow, we will be required to secure lenders, investors and assets such as commercial properties. We are seeking an experienced controller that can build the structure of the objectives listed below.

**Objectives**:

- Segment our Income Statements by location. (currently captured wholistically).
- Create a structured financial reporting system around our company's KPI's.
- Establish relationships with our bankers, lenders and accountants.
- Create a inventory management system for our material sales.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial KPI's.
- Understand our current pricing models and processes.
- Create a more efficient job costing system.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and account reconciliation.
- Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive operational efficiency.
- Prepare timely financial reports.
- Analyze data to modify our rates to our customers.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to optimize profitability.
- File GST and IFTA returns.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a corporate environment.
- CPA designation or equivalent.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards, GAAP, and tax laws, budgeting and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
