Position: HR Administrator

Location: Kemptville Board Office - Kemptville

Hours of work: 35 hours/week

**Salary**: $55,375 - $65,147 per annum

Effective: Immediately

**Job Summary**
The HR Administrator provides essential support to the Human Resources department, with a focus on attendance management, health and safety support, recruitment coordination, and general HR administrative functions. This role ensures smooth HR operations and contributes to a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and collective agreements.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Attendance Management Support**
- Monitor, update and assist with attendance records, including sick leave, vacation, and other absences.
- Assist in the administration of attendance programs and reporting systems.
- Monitor employee attendance records, absence thresholds, identify patterns of concern, and coordinate follow-up actions in collaboration with managers and Principals including assistance in facilitating employee meetings.

**Health and Safety Administration**
- Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and AODA requirements.
- Support with the administration of Board training software.
- Assist with the coordination of health and safety training sessions and maintain training records.
- Support the Health and Safety Coordinator with initiatives, committees (e.g., Joint Health and Safety Committee), and other related responsibilities.
- Assist in incident reporting and follow-up procedures.

**Recruitment Support**
- Support with recruitment administration including, posting of job advertisements and managing applicant tracking systems.
- Conduct reference checks and assist with onboarding documentation where required.
- Support job fairs and CDSBEO recruitment initiatives.

**General HR Administrative Support**
- Maintain and update employee files and HRIS databases.
- Prepare HR documents relating to various employee groups.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide general HR department support that is transient in nature.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in HR administration or coordination.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and collective agreements.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and a strong ability in the area of data management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
