MetricAid is a healthcare technology company transforming physician scheduling, across North America to global healthcare systems. Our intelligent platform blends physician preferences, departmental needs, and data-driven insights to deliver fair, efficient, and fully optimized shift scheduling.

As we scale our impact, we’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our software development. This role will drive the evolution of our platform, ensure the reliability of our systems in production, and help shape the next generation of scheduling innovation in healthcare.

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

**System Reliability and Support**
- Oversee stability and ongoing support for production systems.
- Triage and resolve production issues methodically and efficiently.
- Monitor logs, alerts, and system health to identify and address issues proactively.

**Infrastructure and DevOps Leadership**
- Manage and refine AWS-based infrastructure.
- Oversee deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and developer-built tools.
- Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

**Team Mentorship and Development**
- Provide leadership, support, and mentorship to the development team as they work through backlog items and product enhancements.
- Foster a culture of high-quality software development practices, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

**Architecture and Technical Strategy**
- Participate in platform architecture and design decisions, particularly at the intersection of legacy and modern systems.
- Lead efforts to reduce technical debt and modernize core systems while maintaining service continuity.
- Align technical strategies with business objectives and collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders.

**Required Qualifications**
- 5+ years in a senior technical leadership role ideally within a SaaS or product-based organization.
- Deep experience with hybrid technology environments, including anchor systems and cloud-native platforms.
- Demonstrated experience managing AWS infrastructure
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Calm, methodical approach to incident management and production support.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills focused on team development and technical excellence.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, telco, energy).
- Prior success leading modernization initiatives (e.g., monolith to microservices including frontend modernization).
- Experience designing internal tooling and development automation utilities.
- Background in managing software teams.
