**About T-Ports**
T-Ports operates two vessels, MV Lucky Eyre and MV April, in Lucky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. T-Ports represents a paradigm change in world Port and supply chain development, using cutting edge transhipment technology. T-Ports is an emerging company, leading the way with Grain receival, bulk handling, storage, and transhipping, “bringing the port to the product”.

**About the role**
The chief officer will assist the master for the onboard operation, delivery, and safe navigation of the vessel. To ensure policies and procedures are carried out safely and efficiently while maintaining a high quality of standards and practices.
- Assisting the Master with the safe operation of the Vessel
- Comply with Workplace Health, and Safety procedures.
- In charge of deck and hull maintenance (Deck PMS/Mex).
- Perform Ship Security Officer duties when necessary. Make sure that Gangway Logbook & Visitors Inductions completed. Make sure that Gangway is safe & net in position.
- Co-ordinate weekly, monthly inspections of LSA & FFE, lifting gear, mooring lines, oil spill & damage control equipment. Update SDS, Fire & Safety Training Manual.
- Pre-pare vessel for grain inspections.
- Cargo operations (loading/unloading), Supervise MHS & chute operator.
- Navigational Officer duties, including Passage Planning, charts & publications correction, watch keeping.
- Make sure that all tasks on board performed in accordance with MO and company policies. Risk Assessment, Work Permits, TBT, are complied with. Appropriate PPE used by Crew.
- Any duties requested by the Master.
- Reporting to the Master.

**About You**
This position is a significant key to the operational success of the Transshipping vessel Lucky Eyre and will require a dynamic “can-do” approach.
