**Job Title: In-Home Support Worker**

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Personal Care Support**:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including evening and night routines with activities such as dinner time, prepping food, grooming, dressing, and house chores.
- Assist with maintaining hygiene routines, ensuring dignity and privacy are always upheld.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a safe and nurturing environment that promotes overall well-being.
- **Adaptive Skills**:
- Assist clients in developing and maintaining essential life skills, including meal planning and preparation, budgeting, laundry, and other household tasks.
- Support the implementation of individualized care plans to enhance independence, self-sufficiency, and community involvement.
- Provide guidance in enhancing social skills, communication techniques, and daily routines to build confidence and increase self-esteem.
- Foster the development of problem-solving and decision-making abilities, enabling clients to live as independently as possible.
- **Behavior Management**:
- Implement individualized behavior management strategies as outlined in care plans, using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors.
- Monitor and document behavioral patterns, identifying triggers and responding effectively to challenging behaviors in a calm, respectful manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare providers, to assess and modify behavior management approaches as needed.
- Promote and model appropriate behaviors that support social integration, emotional regulation, and overall mental health.
**Qualifications**:
- A minimum of a **Bachelor's degree** in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in personal care, behavioral support, or related roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and life skills coaching.
- Ability to work effectively with clients facing a variety of physical, developmental, and emotional challenges.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient, with a commitment to respecting clients' dignity and promoting autonomy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage time effectively in a home-based environment.
**Working Conditions**:
- This is a part-time evening position, with shifts starting at 4:00 PM.
- The role may require occasional travel within the local community to assist clients in navigating public spaces or attending appointments.
