- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- Provide direct care and supervision to youth with diverse needs in various settings.
- Support youth in achieving personal goals, building life skills, and maintaining positive behavior.
- Reintegration into society, companionship.
- Need to facilitate community outings and recreational activities.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
- Uphold a safe and supportive environment for youth in care.
- **Qualifications**_**:

- College diploma in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Community Justice Service, Psychology) or higher education.
- Valid G-class driver’s license. (Respite worker transports client in their own vehicle.)
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Up to Date Vulnerable Sector Screenings
- Experience working with youth with complex special needs and/or youth involved in criminal rehabilitation is an asset.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Hours are typically but not limited to taking place after school hours, on weekends and evenings. All workers would be expected to take clients in their own vehicle. _

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Autism and developmental disabilities: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- G License and reliable vehicle (required)
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (required)
- Crisis Prevention Training (CPI, NVCI, UMAB, PMAB, SMG etc) (preferred)
