**The Role**:

KMH Cardiology Centres Inc. is growing and we are recruiting for an Administrative Care Coordinator for our busy physician practise in **Mississauga.**

**The Accountabilities**:
The team focuses on providing care to our patients while optimizing appointment schedules and ensuring timely follow up and diagnostic testing.

The key accountabilities of the role are:

- Act as a point of contact in building and developing relationships with both new and existing patients, physician offices and other healthcare facilities
- Optimize clinic capacity in collaboration with the Specialist, Capacity Utilization
- Ensure tasks including internal and external orders, bookings, consults and chart checks are completed in a timely manner within pre-defined KPI’s for team.
- Utilize Tableau daily to facilitate KPI attainment
- Routinely liaise with outside facilities to obtain results, reports, and to schedule or reschedule appointments
- Notify patients of appointments at external facilities and assist with rescheduling if required
- Manage incoming third party forms with Finance team and physicians
- Upload reports
- Complete and coordinate timely referrals including new charts and booking shell
- Execute bookings for diagnostic tests and new consult referrals from new physicians
- Foster a collegial, respectful team and office environment
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide and gather information, enabling patient requirements to be dealt with efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Work with cross functional team and other KMH staff to assist with patient care as-needed

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma in health/life sciences or in medical office administration
- Similar experience in a medical office
- 1 year of high-quality customer service which can be applied to patient-care

**Required skills and experience**:

- Demonstrated high quality, compassionate, patient centred care
- Proven ability to work proficiently in a busy fast paced call centre environment
- Ability to multitask, establish priorities and achieve objectives with mínimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior telephone etiquette
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in technology including MS Office and EMR systems experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Possesses effective analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to deal with sensitive information with a high degree of diplomacy
- Team orientation
- Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset

This is a 12-month Contract role with full-time hours scheduled for 5 days (37.5 hours) per week. The role is primarily scheduled **11.00 a.m.7.00 p.m**. Monday-Friday. _Saturday’s _are required on rotation with the team.

The role reports to the Team Lead: Specialist Practise and is based at our Mississauga Head Office.
