**Reports to: Director of Operational Systems**

**Job Summary**:
The main objective of this position is to lead quality systems and continuous improvement functions by designing, facilitating, and training for quality using company procedures and manufacturing best practices.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Maintenance of Quality Management System
- Point of contact for all internal issues and complaints
- Continuous improvement mind set and contribute to the development of the organization through a six sigma mindset
- Develop training documents and facilitate training; assist in trouble shooting quality issues in the requirements of the QMS.
- Must be able to successfully lead and function within a team environment and be able to adapt to change
- Establish and maintain relations with customer representative in quality related activities, including course inspection, audits and process surveys.
- Training and facilitating problem resolution and process improvement
- Responsible for 5s activities for assigned area
- Inspect products and materials to ensure the meet quality standards
- Monitors performance and provides feedback
- Write detailed reports and attend meeting with senior leadership to discuss quality control issues
- Support company policies and procedures as defined in handbook and administer fairly and consistently
- Must be able to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Receptive of training and performing functions in multiple areas
- Responsible for implementation and follow up of countermeasure activities related to customer and/or department issues
- Perform activities defined in the QMS responsibility matric
- Recognize and define problems, collect data, and develop conclusions

**Qualifications**:

- University/College in a quality or industrial engineering program
- Minimum Green belt, CQE and CQM/OE certification.
- ISO9001:2015 experience necessary, IATF an asset.
- Exceptional time management, ability to multi-task projects and process improvements.
- Strong mathematical skills
- Communicate effectively with others using both oral and written communication skills
- Must display leadership ability, able to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions.
- Must have working knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.
- Knowledge of quality systems, gauging, and close tolerance measurement.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, solve practical problem and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Knowledge of special equipment
