About the Organization:
The House of Commons Procedural Services is currently looking to staff the Logistics and Protocol Coordinator position.
Procedural Services provides a full range of procedural and legislative services to the Speaker, Members of Parliament and Officers of the House of Commons. Our service area provides a secretariat function to committees and organizes, on behalf of both the Senate and the House of Commons and their Speakers, the participation of the Parliament of Canada in international and interparliamentary activities in Canada and abroad.
The International and Interparliamentary Affairs Directorate is responsible for the coordination of the Parliament of Canada’s external relations and activities.
The Committees and Legislative Services Directorate support all committees of the House of Commons. This support includes providing advice on parliamentary procedure, practice and precedents as well as all the administrative, financial, technical and logístical assistance required for committees to meet their objectives.
About the Role:
The Logistics and Protocol Coordinator is responsible for the development of a planning framework as well as establishing the standards, procedures and coordination of a center of expertise required to deliver all aspects of logistics and protocol efficiently for high-level visits, ceremonial events, parliamentary committee activities and parliamentary conferences. You must ensure that all arrangements are delivered in a timely and consistent manner and that all financial and administrative policies are adhered to.
The Logistics and Protocol Coordinator may be assigned to the Protocol team or the Conference team with the International and Interparliamentary Affairs Directorate, or to the Logistics team with the Committees and Legislative Services Directorate. Periodically, Logistics and Protocol Coordinators may be asked to rotate between these assignments.

- A post-secondary school degree or diploma in a discipline related to the functions of the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.
