**About the role**

We are looking to hire a motivated Lead Painter to lead different types of painting projects and help us grow and expand our production team in the greater Vancouver area.

You will work directly with the GM, Production Manager and your 2-3 man crew to plan, lead and complete projects within our allotted budgets.

This role is responsible for:

- Overseeing a small crew of professional painters
- Planning daily tasks to be completed on the jobsite
- Dealing with day to day interactions with customers
- Tracking hours and making sure the team is up
- Identifying necessary equipment and products needed for a job
- Ensuring the customer is happy all the way through the job
- Learning and growing their skills and techniques
- Leading and teaching your crew as needed
- Providing suggestions to the production and sales team how we can improve as a company

- Demonstrate work-related skills needed for this role
- Have 2+ years experience painting experience
- Have experience working on complicated projects including wood refinishing, cabinet refinishing, staining etc
- Are a natural born leader

- Take initiative and focus on outcomes
- Communicate clearly and listen to understand
- Are open to taking and giving feedback that will help the team grow more efficiently
- Have a can do attitude

Proactive Painting is a small, fast growing luxury painting company that serves the Lower Mainland. We mainly focus on high end residential projects ranging from small jobs like railings and trim all the way to full interior, exterior and staining projects. We pride ourselves in leaving every customer with a smile

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
