**Job Summary**:
The Cook Helper assists in accurately and efficiently cooking meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot and cold food products. They also perform buffet duties and final plate preparation, including plating and garnishing dishes. The role involves working closely with BBQ chefs and preparing meat dishes. Additionally, the Cook Helper is responsible for dishwashing duties, ensuring all tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized to maintain a safe and organized kitchen environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist Chefs, Cooks and BBQ chefs with preparations.
- Follow recipes accurately and contribute to new dish development.
- Receive and follow detailed verbal instructions.
- Complete assigned tasks within deadlines and under the direction of the Chef.
- May assist in serving customers, answering phones, and taking orders.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including equipment and storage areas.
- Perform weekly inventory preparation and ordering.
- Stock and maintain dry, cold, and frozen goods.
- Monitor and maintain proper food holding, cooking, and refrigeration temperatures.
- Ensure the quality of food served meets restaurant standards.
- Adhere to buffet safety and food safety procedures.
- Participate in monthly heavy-duty cleaning.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including deep cleaning and kitchen sanitation.

**Dishwashing Duties**:

- Wash and clean tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Load, run, and unload the dish machine while ensuring it remains clean and functional.
- Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including walls, floors, and surrounding surfaces.
- Ensure adequate levels of clean tableware are available for kitchen and dining use.
- Dispose of trash and keep garbage cans clean and sanitized.
- Assist with deep cleaning of kitchen areas, including sinks, drains, and food prep areas.
- Follow proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies.
- Maintain safety and hygiene standards at all times.
