**Description**

The I.T./I.S Coordinator (ITISC) reports directly to the Director of I.T./I.S/BioMedical. The ITISC ensures the service desk process provides a complete solution for internal and external product users across all platforms. The coordinator works independently as well as with the Director of I.T./I.S/BioMedical to coordinate and prioritize technical services and Technology Project management.

**Qualifications**

**Education**

  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • Post-Secondary education in Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering.
  • Project Management Certification an asset

**Knowledge and Skills**

**An extensive working knowledge in the following areas**

  • Microsoft Operating Systems including setup and security
  • Microsoft 365 Applications
  • Network topologies and protocols
  • Routing, switches, firewalls
  • Computer hardware and components

**Other Requirements**

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in I.T/I.S.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people that have a wide variety of skill levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in high stress situations.
  • May be required to work evenings and weekends.
  • May be required to work at affiliated sites.
  • Criminal records check is required as per hospital policy.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify issues, plan improvements, measure success and continue improvement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the technical aspects of end user education, incident investigation, incoming inspections, installations and evaluations.
  • Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting
  • Reliable attendance record
  • Must physically be capable of performing the essential duties of the job
